Bajo Coen Well

Many of the sicknesses suffered by the Indians are a result of drinking contaminated water. Rivers and small streams, which are open to all manner of contaminates are their major source of drinking water. Even where springs are available, those sources can be adversely affected during the rainy season from surface runoff.

The project in Bajo Co├źn was the digging of a shallow well. The house was located near the river where the water table was at about 12 feet. The family now enjoys a continuous supply of safe clean water.
